Captain Mike Hackshaw Sport Fishing & Whale Watching Tours business is one of the oldest and most well established family run boating companies in St Lucia, established over 60 years ago and running as Captain Mike’s for over 35 years.
The sport fishing business was started even further back by “BIG BILL” Hackshaw and then continued and run by his son CAPTAIN MIKE, who was just about the most flamboyant character St.Lucia has ever seen. Much of his easy going and happy disposition has passed onto his twin sons Andrew and Bruce, who now run the company. Although our company has expanded it is still small and able to give our customers the most personalized of services.
Captain Mike’s maintains six boats, two 31ft, one 35ft, two 38ft and one 60ft “Free Willie” (specifically used for Whale & Dolphin Watching), the others used for Sport Fishing and private cruises.
Please note: Free Willie can also be used for private functions such as weddings, parties and Personalized Private Cruises and more.
Located in the north of St Lucia, very near (5 minutes) Castries harbour, Captain Mike’s offers you the tour experience of your vacation. The opportunity to batch that a Marlin, Barracuda or even the spectacular Sailfish. We have onboard all the gear you need, including a drink or two to help you along you along the way.
On the Whale Watching trips you can get yo see local pods of Dolphins, Pilot Whales, Sperm Whales and many other spectacular oceanic scenes. So come join us for a trip or book a charter just for your own group – we will cater you you every need!
